EU after Brexit: Is it really at Risk?
A few weeks ago I appeared on TRT World’s Roundtable to discuss the future of Europe. The long and short of it is that while there are tensions, the external pressures from geopolitics ought to check the centrifugal forces within the EU. It is not going anywhere anytime soon. However, we should not assume that the status quo will hold and that there will not changes coming to the bloc in the next decade. The EU will need to adapt to a world where the USA is not a dependable ally, where Russia continues to seek influence in the Eastern European marches, and the effects of the climate emergency continue to cumulate.
